Resume Formatting using Microsoft Office Word
As part of job application, most employers expect you to submit a resume. However, resume is more than a work history document ̶ it is a way you market your skills and ability to do the job as well as present yourself to your potential employer for the first time. This workshop offers approaches that job seekers from diverse backgrounds can use to create a resume that will present their skillset with clarity and conviction.

This workshop will be offered in a 1.5 hours long session delivered every last Tuesday of the month.
The session will cover the common basic (and some advanced) features of the Microsoft Office Word to create or format a resume document which include tips around formatting, structuring and finishing a document and building an understanding on Text Alignment, Page Margins, Key Words, Headers & Footers and Hyperlinks etc.; which will allow job seekers to avoid having their resume bypassed by the Application Tracking Systems (ATS).

Participants should be able to attend the workshop via zoom. Participants can join from any compatible device; however, in order to benefit in the most efficient way, participants are encouraged to arrange either a laptop, a computer or a tablet to attend and practice. A basic level of understanding and ability to navigate Microsoft Office Word is required.
Please choose only one meeting to attend.
